पिछली पोस्ट में आपने पढ़ा की कैसे हम अलग अलग जगह से हरिद्वार में इकठ्ठे हुए और वहाँ से चलकर दोपहर रांसी गाँव पहुँच गए .रांसी गाँव काफी बड़ा है और मोटर मार्ग यहीं तक बना है । सांस्कृतिक रूप से भी रांसी काफ़ी समृद्ध है। यहां राकेश्वरी देवी का एक मन्दिर है। शीतकाल में जब मद्महेश्वर मंदिर के कपाट बंद होते हैं तो उनकी डोली ऊखीमठ जाती है। रास्ते में एक रात्रि के लिए विश्राम रांसी में भी होता है।

मध्महेश्वर यात्रा -1 (Madmaheswar Yatra -Part 1)

इस साल के शुरू से ही अक्टूबर महीने में रुद्रनाथ कल्पेश्वर जाने का सोच रखा था। मेरी अपने दिल्ली में रहने वाले मित्र अनिल दीक्षित से इस बारे में बातचीत भी हुई । अनिल दीक्षित के साथ दो अन्य मित्र भी थे लेकिन समस्या ये थी की जिन दिनों में उनका प्रोग्राम बना उन्ही दिनों मेरे एक बचपन से घनिष्ट मित्र की छोटी बहन की शादी थी ।मेरे मित्र ने  मुझे लगभग दो महीने पहले ही बोल दिया था की शादी के आस पास कहीं घुमने मत निकल जाना जिस कारण मैं अनिल दीक्षित और साथियों के साथ कल्पेश्वर रुद्रनाथ न जा सका । उनके साथ न जाने के कारण मैंने द्वितीय केदार मध्महेश्वर में जाने का मन बनाया । संजय कौशिक व अनिल दीक्षित भी तैयार थे साथ ही उनकी तीन चार लोगों से और बात चल रही थी ।उम्मीद थी आखिर में 6-7 लोग फाइनल हो ही जायेंगे ।11 नवम्बर की रात को निकल कर 14 नवम्बर की वापसी का प्रोग्राम था।

शिवखोरी यात्रा (SHIV KHORI )

वैष्णो देवी की यात्रा पर तो हर साल जाता ही हूँ लेकिन इस बार शिवखोरी जाना नया अनुभव रहा है। कटरा से 80 किमी की दूरी पर रन्सू इलाके का यह तीर्थ कुछ साल पहले तक सवेंदनशील क्षेत्र माना जाता था क्योंकि यह राजौरी-पुँछ सेक्टर से एकदम सटा हुआ है लेकिन अब हालात सामान्य है और यहाँ अब यात्रियों की काफी भीड़ रहती है ।

 नवम्बर के पहले सप्ताह का समय और बेहतरीन मौसम का साथ सोने पर सुहागा साबित हुआ क्योंकि इन दिनों आमतौर पर यात्रियों की संख्या गर्मियों की अपेक्षा आधी ही रह जाती है । ग्रीष्मावकाश के समय हज़ारों यात्री रोजाना वैष्णो देवी के दर्शन करते है। साथ ही सर्दी-गर्मी के मिले-जुले माहौल में पहाडों पर पदयात्रा करने का अपना ही लुत्फ़ है।

वैष्णो देवी भवन से भैरों नाथ का मंदिर ढेड़ किलोमीटर की दुरी पर है और सारा रास्ता खडी चढाई है । वैष्णो देवी की सम्पूर्ण यात्रा में सबसे मुश्किल हिस्सा यही है। एक सामान्य व्यक्ति इसे 45-50 मिनट में कर सकता है । रास्ता ठीक बना हुआ है ।इस रास्ते पर घोड़े की सुविधा भी है लेकिन यहाँ रास्ता ज्यादा चौड़ा न होने से घोड़े वालों से पैदल चलने वाले यात्री परेशां रहते हैं । हमने लगभग साढ़े चार बजे भवन से भैरों मंदिर की और प्रस्थान किया । बच्चे साथ थे तो सब धीरे ही चल रहे थे।

बाण गंगा. माना यह जाता हैं की माता वैष्णोदेवी जब भैरो  देव से छिप कर के आगे बढ़ रही थी तो हनुमान जी भी उनके साथ साथ थे. हनुमानजी को प्यास लगने पर माता ने उनके आग्रह पर धनुष से पहाड़ पर बाण चलाकर एक जलधारा निकाली और हनुमान जी ने अपनी प्यास बुझाई और उस जल में ही माता ने अपने केश धोए. आज यह पवित्र जलधारा बाणगंगा के नाम से जानी जाती है. बाण गंगा के जल में काफ़ी मछलिया तैरती रहती हैं. यहाँ कई लोग मछलियों को खिलाने के लिए आटे की गोलियां भी बेचते हैं .  बाण गंगा के पवित्र जल को पीने या इसमें स्नान करने से श्रद्धालुओं की सारी थकावट और तकलीफें दूर हो जाती हैं. यहीं पर माता का बाण गंगा मंदिर भी बना हुआ है. बहुत से लोग बाण गंगा पर स्नान करके आगे बढते हैं

उत्तर भारत में रहने वाले घुमक्कड़ी के शौक़ीन लोगों में से शायद ही कोई ऐसा हो जो माता वैष्णो देवी के दर्शनों के लिए कटरा न आया हो। भारत के खूबसूरत जम्मू और कश्मीर राज्य की हसीन वादियों में उधमपुर ज़िले में कटरा से 12 किलोमीटर की दूरी पर स्थित है ‘माता वैष्णो देवी मंदिर’। भक्तों की मनोकामना पूर्ण करने वाली, उनके दुखों को हरने वाली, उन्हें संसार की सभी खुशियां प्रदान करने वाली, ‘आदि शक्ति’ वैष्णो देवी माता का मंदिर हिन्दू धर्म के प्रसिद्ध मंदिरों में से एक है।

बिजली महादेव ( Bijli Mahadev)

लगभग पौने नौ बजे हम पराशर से अपनी अगली मंजिल बिजली महादेव की ओर चल दिए । कल जाते हुए तो अँधेरे के कारण सुन्दर दृश्य नहीं देख पाए थे लेकिन आज दिन के उजाले में चारो तरफ सुन्दरता ही नज़र आ रही थी । सड़क देवदार के घने जंगल से होकर है । जंगल इतना सघन है की इसके बहुत से हिस्से में नीचे धूप नहीं पहुँच पाती और इसी कारण से पेड़ों के तने काई से भरे हुए थे । शुरू के दस किलोमीटर का रास्ता काफ़ी ख़राब था इसीलिए हमारा ध्यान सड़क पर ज्यादा था । पहाड़ी इलाकों में चढ़ाई से उतराई हमेशा ज्यादा ख़तरनाक होती है । चढ़ाई के समय तो केवल बाइक का ज्यादा जोर लग रहा था लेकिन उतराई में बैलेंस की ज्यादा दिक्कत थी । दोनों बाइक के इंजन बंद थे फिर भी बाइक 30-40 की स्पीड से नीचे  भाग रही थी । हर 50-60 मीटर के बाद ही ख़तरनाक मोड़ आ जाता था जिसके कारण बड़ी सावधानी से बाइक चलानी पड़ रही थी । अधिक ढलान होने से दोनो ब्रेक मारने पर भी बाइक जल्दी नहीं रूकती । लगभग पौने घंटे में हमने वो घटिया रास्ता पार किया ।उससे आगे सड़क बिलकुल नयी बनी थी । आप इस रास्ते की तुलना उखीमठ से चोपता जाने वाले मार्ग से कर सकते हैं ....घना जंगल ,ढेर सारी हरियाली और काई से भरे पेड़ों के तने।

पिछले सप्ताह अपने मित्रों अमित तिवारी , बीनू कुकरेती और अन्य साथियों के साथ उधमपुर में कैलाश कुंड जाने का मेरा प्रोग्राम बनते बनते रह गया । जिसकी भरपाई 4 दिन बाद ही हिमाचल में पराशर झील और बिजली महादेव की यात्रा से की गयी ।

इस यात्रा में मेरे साथ मेरे सहकर्मी एवम् दोस्त सुखविंदर सिंह भी तैयार हो गए । चूँकि ये दोनों स्थान मुख्य सड़क से हटकर हैं , इन तक जाने के लिए लोकल बस या जीप लेनी पड़ती । उससे बचने के लिए हमने बाइक से ही चलने का निर्णय ले लिया । मेरे पास 2004 मोडल TVS विक्टर है और सुखविंदर के पास दो महीने पहले ही नयी खरीदी हुई सुपर स्पेलंडर थी । मेरी ये दूसरी लम्बी बाइक यात्रा थी । पिछले साल अक्टूबर के पहले सप्ताह हम दोनों ने चोपता , तुंगनाथ ,देवरिया ताल की यात्रा बाइक से की थी ।

Maharashtra Yatra: Aurangabad- Panchakki and Bibi ka Maqbara

In the last post we visited Daulatabad Fort. After that we took one shared taxi for Aurangabad. Today was our last day of this mega tour. At midnight we have to catch a train from Manmad for Ambala. To reach Manmad, there was an express train from Aurangabad at 20:30, so we have enough time to roam in Aurangabad to visit its famous places like Bibi ka Maqbara and Panchakki.

Daulatabad is located at a distance of 15 km northwest of Aurangabad, and midway to Ellora group of caves.
The fort is situated on an isolated cone-shaped hill rising abruptly from the plain to the height of about 190 meters (600 feet).

Continued from the last post…. in which we visited Buddhist and Jainism Excavation. In this post we will visit Brahmanical series (Ellora Caves No. 13 to 29).

Brahmanical Excavations

The Brahmanical series, excavated between the seventh and ninth centuries are glimpses of a world apart from the chaitya hall and Viharas. The familiars Buddha’s and Bodhisattvas are gone. The Brahmanical religion in India was based at the outset on the concept of one Supreme Being but in later ages it was reflected through dramatic expression in symbolic figures. The imagination and the poetry of the new concept were reflected in art which attained a new visual grace and power.

It is good to remember that the Brahmanical revival which produced this group of Ellora caves under royal patronage had nothing in it of intolerance against the Buddhist system fought entirely in the intellectual arena.

Cave 14 serves as an introduction to the new order. In the first panel to the left there is Durga the mother goddess, whose worship forms a great festival in India.

Cave 15 is reached after a long climb over steps which lead to carved gate. Double storied, it has a courtyard with several small shrines and chambers for the temple priests. The first floor holds the presiding deity of the temple the lingam and facing it in the center stage is the Bull (Nandi), who is Shiva’s mount and an inevitable feature in all Shiva shrines.

सौराष्ट्रे सोमनाथं च श्रीशैले मल्लिकार्जुनम्।उज्जयिन्यां महाकालमोङ्कारममलेश्वरम्॥

परल्यां   वैद्यनाथं च डाकिन्यां भीमशङ्करम्।सेतुबन्धे तु रामेशं नागेशं दारुकावने॥

वाराणस्यां  तु  विश्वेशं  त्र्यम्बकं  गौतमीतटे। हिमालये  तु केदारं  घुश्मेशं च शिवालये॥

एतानि  ज्योतिर्लिङ्गानि सायं प्रातः पठेन्नरः।सप्तजन्मकृतं पापं स्मरणेन विनश्यति॥

According to Dwadasha Jyotirlinga Stotram, there are twelve Jyotirlings and Grishneshwar Jyotirling is considered to be twelfth. This is located at a village called Verul, which lies 35 km from Aurangabad in Maharashtra and approximately 100 kms from Manmad station.

Grishneshwar Temple is an ancient pilgrimage site of Lord Shiva. It was re-constructed by Ahilyabhai Holkar. The Grishneshwar Temple is also known by several other names like Kusumeswarar, Ghushmeswara, Grushmeswara and Grishneshwar.

Shani Shingnapur: The Humble Abode of Shani Dev- The Lord of Justice

Next morning we left the Sai Ashram and reached bus stand to board Shingnapur bound bus for our next leg of journey. Besides buses, Shared taxis (Tata Sumo, Tata Ace…etc) are also available from Shirdi for Shani Shingnapur at regular intervals. It is convenient if you are in a group, in that case you can book the complete vehicle. Generally, vehicles do not move until all the seats are full. Shani Shingnapur is about 75 km from Shirdi and it takes close to two hours to reach Shani Shingnapur from Shirdi.

 We started our bus journey from Trimbakeshwar towards Shirdi .As it was direct bus it did not enter Nasik city and bypassed it. We were on the same Nasik-Pune road from which we had come in the morning but this time in opposite direction. At Sinner, the road bisects. Left side road goes towards Shirdi, straight road goes to Pune. As we were approaching Shirdi, the condition of the road was improving. Last few kilometers have four lanes. The bus took around three hours to complete the journey of 114 KM. We reached Shirdi around 5PM.

Next morning we get up at 5:30AM .After getting ready we check out the hotel and went to bus stand which was just opposite to the hotel. Nasik bound bus was not available at that time and we took this opportunity to have tea and some snacks. After some time one bus arrived and we boarded that bus and started our journey towards Nasik. Distance between Nasik and Sangamner is around 70 KM. The road beyond Sangamner is also two lanes but has huge traffic. I was surprised that the highway connecting two major cities of Maharashtra i.e. Pune and Nasik is just two lanes wide. It should it at least four lanes keeping in mind the traffic it has.

Next morning we get up at 4 AM. It was raining heavily.  As we were already in railway premises, rain was not a matter of cause for us. If we have stayed somewhere else then it would have become difficult for us to reach station. After completing daily routine and bathe we were ready by 4:45 AM. We left the hall and reached ticket counter and bought 4 tickets for Lonavla. As the train originates from here itself, it had already come to platform. We went to general compartment and took seats. Soon the compartment filled with passengers and train departed on its scheduled time at 5:40 AM.

It was still raining and weather was very pleasant. The train was passing through Western Ghats and many waterfalls and streams had come to live due to heavy rain. It’s not just the air and (relative) lack of pollution that was refreshing – there was a certain acceptance of quirkiness and eccentricity in the hills that is rarer in the lowlands.

The Siddhivinayak Temple is a very famous temple in Mumbai. It is also known as Shree Siddhivinayak Ganapati Temple. This temple is situated at Prabhadevi in Mumbai. It is a two hundred years old Temple. People believe that Lord Ganesh of Siddhivinayak Temple fulfills the desire of His worshipers. Mumbai city is a spectator to many popular places of worship and of historical interest. Most of these places are of archaeological value besides being famous religious sites.

In the month of June 2013, I along with three other friends (Naresh Saroha, Rajeev Dhillon and Satish Kumar) visited Maharashtra for religious tour of Bhimashankar, Trimbakeshwar and Grishneshwar Jyotirlings along with Shirdi and Shani Shingnapur.

अब तक .......... महाकाल  के दर्शनों के बाद हम लोगों ने नाश्ता किया और नाश्ते के बाद हमने एक ऐसे ऑटो कि तलाश शुरू कि जो हमें जंतर मंतर , जिसे वेधशाला भी कहते हैं , ले जाए। हमारी गाड़ी का समय दोपहर का था और उसमें अभी काफी समय था इसलिए हम  लोग जंतर मंतर घूमना चाहते थे । आज रंग पंचमी का दिन था और यहाँ काफी धूम धाम थी। जैसे हमारे उतर भारत में होली मनाई जाती है वैसे ही यहाँ  रंग पंचमी। इसलिए ज्यादातर दुकानें बंद थी और जो खुली थी वो भी सिर्फ कुछ घंटों के लिए। आज रंग पंचमी होने के कारण ऑटो भी काफी कम थे। जो थे वो ज्यादा पैसे मांग रहे थे। आखिर कुछ मोल भाव के बाद एक ऑटोवाला हमें जंतर मंतर / वेधशाला होते हुए रेलवे स्टेशन जाने के लिए 150 रुपये में मान गया। हम ऑटो में सवार हो अपनी नयी मंजिल  जंतर मंतर / वेधशाला की ओर चल दिए ।
